Jillian's Baseball Adventure

Meet Jillian, a twelve-year-old superhero! She battled osteosarcoma and faced the difficulties of treatment with so much courage. During treatment, Jillian had to undergo rotationplasty surgery and remove part of her leg. She doesn't let this slow her down and she has even been playing basketball on one leg. We truly admire Jillian's incredible spirit and resilience.

Jayden's Cloud Ride

Jayden was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer called Retinoblastoma when he was just one year old. He immediately began high-dose chemotherapy in attempt to stop the cancer from spreading to his brain. Jayden and his family endured several months of pain and difficulty during the process of treatment. Eventually, he had one eye removed, and that year he received a prosthetic eye just in time for Christmas!

It's The Little Things: James's Superhero Adventure

 

James is four years old and is battling Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. We recently brought James and his family on an adventure to the local park. We were able to do some of James’s favorite things with him - we worked on puzzles, blew bubbles, ran at super speed in our superhero capes and ate lots of cupcakes!

Mattix's Superhero Visit

Five-year-old Mattix will battle Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis for the rest of his life. This is a rare disease involving proliferation of Langerhans cells and capable of migrating from skin to lymph nodes and brain. However, Mattix is fighting like a superhero and is so full of joy and love! We had the opportunity to bring Mattix on an adventure to swim in a hot springs pool and play at the park.

Travis’s Orlando Magic Adventure

Travis is a cheerful, fun superhero who is battling cancer with so much strength. We recently had a full day of fun with Travis bringing him to the Orlando Magic basketball game! His energy was contagious and he had us all cheering and dancing - Travis even got a spotlight on the Jumbotron! After the Orlando Magic won their game, Travis got to hang out on the court and meet the Magic’s Forward, Aaron Gordon. Aaron signed autographs, took photos and spent time talking to Travis and his family.

Isabella's Pink Limo Adventure

When Isabella met a Love Your Melon Campus Crew at the local mall, she had no idea what big surprises were in store for her adventure! The Crew led her outside where she discovered a pink stretch limo awaiting her and her friends and family! They rode in the limo and danced to her favorite songs before getting pampered at a children’s salon. Isabella got her makeup, fingernails and toenails done. By the end of the day, she was feeling like the princess she is, and she even met some other princesses, Elsa and Cinderella. We loved hearing Isabella’s words at the end of her adventure when she exclaimed, “This is the best day ever!”
